Science experiment

Today in block two straight after morning tea we went to the science lab to try out some experiments. Here is mine:

Water reflection

Equipment 

1x ice cream container 

1x Permanent marker 

1x $2 coin   

1x Jug filled with water 

And a partner 

Method 

Step1: Grab your ice cream container and your $2 coin and trace the coin on the container inside the middle and the colour it in. 

Step 2:Step away from the container until you cannot see the black dot. 

Step3: Then have your partner fill the container with water all the way

Observation and Reason

What happened was that you could start to see the black dot start to rise and it would be visible again. This happens because the reflection of the light reflects on the water and causes the reflection of the dot higher and further away from the real dot.
