- What are the 2 times to use an apostrophe?

For a contraction and when its someone else's property.

- When should you use an apostrophe of possession?

When someones name comes in to the sentence like Derek's lollies.

I can't come tonight for a sleep over sorry
You're so good a this game 
Don't touch thats Hamish's belongings 
Sorry we're going to the movies tonight 
Aren't you supposed to be studying?

In a sentence like this: I hope my downloads are finished. even though it says "my you don't put in because it dosen't say the persons name

An apostrophes replace a letter so like they're. The apostrophes replaces the letter a in are.
